Over the Next Five Years—

Today, Mariners School has 26 additional locations from Baltimore, MD to New Haven, CT. The first step in Mariners School’s aggressive expansion is opening a permanent location in Long Island, New York within six months to a year. Because of this wide geographical expansion, new instructors will be hired and new classes offered during a variety of times during the week. Seminars will also be offered to clients and prospects.

“Whether you are a beginner or an avid boater, everyone gains by taking these courses,” says Captain Bob Figular, founder and owner of Mariners School. “It’s my goal to open doors for boating enthusiasts by providing them with our courses and I anticipate doubling my business every year and in 2005, expanding through the Chicago area.”

Mariners School effectively and enthusiastically teaches the “Hows” and the “Whys,” not just the “Becauses.” The school is a step above its competitors in that it offers a more “hands-on” approach. People graduate Mariners School with more than just a certificate showing they passed. They graduate carrying with them a lifelong understanding and appreciation of boating and the water that they can apply in real-world situations.

By providing boating lovers with unique, first-hand knowledge at his school, Captain Figular is aggressively redefining the boating instruction industry. Having spent more than 60,000 miles on the open ocean including crossing the Atlantic on his 43’ catamaran, experiencing an adventure in a Moroccan port and taking a lone voyage beginning in the Turks and Caicos Islands and ending in Toms River, NJ, it only makes sense that Captain Figular is highly capable of drawing on these experiences.

Today there are 26 additional locations throughout the Northeast. Mariners School’s goal is to double the number of students receiving their OUPV certification from 400 students in 2004, to 800-1,000 in 2005.
